The Annual General Meeting (AGM) must be held within 6 months of the end of the fiscal year. This meeting takes place on the third Monday of September and currently takes place on Zoom. At this meeting the CHHA-NSB president presents the Annual Report and the Financial Report to the members. The members also elect the board members for coming 1 year period. This meeting is open to current members, as well as anyone wishing to become a member, as well as the general public. The AGM also features a key note speaker-always informative and enjoyable.
CHHA-NSB will hold this year’s AGM via Zoom on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 7:00 pm. You will receive a Zoom invite. Please click on the invite at the meeting time and you will be able to join the meeting. This year’s meeting will also feature guest speaker Neil Bauman, Ph.D. Neil is a Hearing Loss Coping Skills Expert, researcher and owner of the website www.hearinglosshelp.com. and author of the book “Ototoxic Drugs Exposed “, 4th edition. He will be talking on the following topic: “Put the Odds in Your Favour When Taking Ototoxic Drugs.” Many drugs can damage your ears. However you do not have to let this happen. Neil will discuss a number of simple things you can do to greatly reduce your chances of experiencing ototoxic side effects such as hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis, ear pain, dizziness, vertigo, and other hearing and balance problems.
The meeting is open to the public and there are no restrictions on the number of participants. The meeting will be conducted in English. Please note that “Live Transcription/Closed Captioning” will be enabled on the Zoom meeting.
